If you had to describe your personality as an animal, which one would it be and why?
Dani: Can I choose two? A dog—happy, friendly, loyal but can bite if provoked. And a humpback whale—slow but steady, protective, loves to travel, and enjoys time with family.
What’s the most memorable gift you’ve ever received or given?
Dani: After the Panam Games in Lima 2019, my family gave me a box filled with cards, lucky charms, and a Peruvian flag to support me. I carry that box to big competitions—it makes me feel loved and at home.
Are there any unusual items you always carry in your bag during competitions?
Dani: Peruvian chocolate and stuff for a spa night. I always carry them, but I never seem to find the time to use them.
If you could have dinner with any three people in the world, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Dani: Both of my grandfathers and my grandmother. It might sound unusual, but I lost them when I was young. I’d love to hear their stories, how they met, and their adventures. There's nothing more precious than those untold family stories.
What’s your go-to song when you need a boost of motivation?
Dani: It depends on my mood, but I always go for Latin music that I can sing and dance to. Lately, "Si Tú No Estás" by Gente de Zona has been my jam.
What's the most unusual food you've ever tried, and would you eat it again?
Dani: Dry squid in Korea—never ever again! Just thinking about it gives me chills!
If you had to pick a new hobby that you've never tried before, what would it be?
Dani: Surfing! I’ve tried it once or twice, but I think I could get really good at it. Also, maybe driving boats—anything that brings me close to the ocean.
What’s a book you’ve read recently that you couldn’t put down?
Dani: "Verity" by Colleen Hoover. I’m currently obsessed with her books.
If you could instantly become an expert in something other than shooting, what would it be?
Dani: Cooking! I'm terrible in the kitchen. Sometimes I think my life would be so much better if I knew how to cook.
What's the last movie that made you laugh out loud?
Dani: "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." It's my go-to when I want to relax and have a great time.
If your life was a movie, what would the title be?
Dani: "The Quirky Adventures of Dani"—a romantic comedy, of course!

Dani: Instagram—I lose track of time scrolling! And, my little secret is Pokémon Go. Yes, I know—such a nerd!

Dani: Playing and dancing with my sisters and cousins for our family. Those were the best times.

Dani: The Maldives or Australia. I need the beach and some relaxation!
